La Caucharderie is conveniently situated for either an over night stop when travelling further afield, or for longer stays, to explore the lush green countryside and many attractions that Normandy has to offer. There are interesting market towns, historic sites and miles of relaxing beaches.

A warm welcome awaits you at our charming 19^th Century beamed farmhouse, set in 3 acres of land and offering a traditional high standard French accommodation with English hospitality.

With peaceful and relaxing surroundings, our farm house is well positioned for walking, cycling and sightseeing and is only a short drive to unspoilt sandy beaches, including the D-Day Landing sites and many other places of interest. You will not be short of things to do

Accommodation & Meals

All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. Double rooms are en-suite, and we have a twin room with a ground floor bathroom.

Make your stay in Normandy a little more memorable and enjoy the flavour of this part of France. Superb evening meals are available in the farmhouse kitchen, we buy all our produce from local sources and have plentiful supplies of wine.

Directions to 50190 La Caucharderie

from cherbourg approx 50 mile

leave port and follow signs for caen (N13). continue on the N13 until past valognes, then make a right turn onto D2 signed coutances , la haye du puits, go through la haye du puits on towards the town lessay , on the approach to lessay at the first new roudabout follow the road straight ahead (2nd) exit go through lessay to the second roundabout and take the third exit signed periers, in approx 3.5 miles bar restro on your right take the second turning on the right past bar restro signed millieres (easy to miss) go through millieres past the church and after 300 m at the Y junction keep right follow road until cross roads then turn left(water tower on the left), chambres d hotes is approx 200m on the right by a long barn.

leave port and follow signs for cherbourg via bayeux and carentan,on the northern outskirts of carentan leave the N13, follow the signs for periers, lessay on the D971, in periers at the roundabout follow the road ahead (2nd exit). after traffic lights turn right and continue through the second set of lights in approx 300m turn left signed la feuille (D94).keep on for about 2 miles until you see a small black sign for la caucharderie, chambres d hotes is 200m on the left which is a farm house with adjoining long barn.
